A maximum of 20 people can sit around the Craps table at a time. Each player gets a chance to throw the dices. This is usually done in a clockwise manner. Box man, stickman and two traders are part of the Casino troop and each throw is called as a roll.

The player tossing the dices is named as the shooter. When a new participant rolls, it is termed as Come Out Roll. This goes on until the shooter wins. A Come Out Roll may begin, if the earlier shooter does not make a point. Then a fresh game starts with fresh participant.

If a new player makes a point, he/she is given the dices to start a fresh Come Out Roll. Suppose the player cannot make a point, then dices are given to the next player for a fresh Come Out Roll. This way the game goes on.

The dices are diagonally tossed over the Craps table. The outline is split into three areas. Both the areas on the side are divided by a median. Side areas are designed in such a way that the notes written on each side are reflected on the opposite side. In short, side areas are the mirror reflection of opposite side.

Each side contains comments such as Come and Don't Come bets, Pass and Don't Pass line bets, Place bets, Odds bet, and Field bets. Following are some types of bets which a player can take at Craps.

Pass Line Bet: In Pass Bets, if a player gets 11 or 7, while tossing, then he/she wins the Bet. However, you will lose, if the dice rolls out to 12, 3, or 2.

Don't Pass Line Bets: In case of Don't Bets, it is the opposite. Players succeed if the roll is 2, or 3. Players will be defeated if the roll is 11 or 7. It will be a tie, if the outcome is 12. In addition, if the same point is repeated, then you need to obtain a 7 before that number.

Odds on Pass Line Bets: This is an extra bet laid after tossing the dice. The payout varies for every single point. If the roll out is 4 or 10, then the pay out will be 2:1, and if you get 5 or 9, the payout will be 3:2. Finally, on getting 6 or 8, the payout is 6:5.

Come Bet: The rules are similar to that of Pass Line bet. However, the only dissimilarity is that you cannot gamble until the point on the pass line is decided. A player wins if the roll out is 11 or 7, and looses if the toss rolls to 12, 3, or 2.

Odds on Come Bet: This is similar to the Odds on Pass Line bet. The only difference is that you take chances on the Come bet, and not the Pass Line bet.

Don't Come Bet: This is opposite of Come Bet. After the come bet is laid down, a player wins if the roll out is 3 or 2. The player looses if the outcome is 11 or 7. Finally, 12 is declared as a tie.

Place Bets: You can gamble once the point is decided. A player can gamble on a dice roll of 10, 9, 8, 6, 5, and 4. Your chances of winning are high, if the figure you have gambled on is tossed prior to 7. If not, you loose. The payouts are diverse. They depend on the figure you gamble on. The payout for 4 or 10 is 9:5. The payout for 5 or 9 is 7:5. If you get 6 or 8, the payout will be 7:6. You can quit, whenever you feel like.

Field Bets: These bets are for one dice roll only. For example, if you roll out 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, you win. On getting 5, 6, 7 and 8, you loose. The payout varies. If the dice rolls to 2, the payout is 2:1. If a player gets 12, the payout is 3:1. On all other winning rolls, the payout is 1:1.

Big Six, Big Eight Bets: These bets will win if 6 or 8 rolls out before 7. These are even gambles with a payout of 1:1.
